Jose Mourinho confirmed on Friday afternoon that Morgan Schneiderlin had requested a transfer away from the club and that he would not stand in the midfielder’s way, as long as any offer for the Frenchman meets Manchester United’s valuation of him.
The French international has struggled to find his way into Mourinho’s first team and a move way would represent a fresh start for him. He has plenty to offer other Premier League clubs and is perhaps too talented a player to spend on the bench.
The midfielder has remained popular with Manchester United fans and they’ll be wishing him well if he does indeed move in the upcoming January transfer window.
Many have been left scratching their heads that Marouane Fellaini might remain at the club longer than Schneiderlin, with most of the Old Trafford faithful losing any hope that Fellaini will make the grade at United.
